Americans have a hard time with proud African-americans. John McEnroe and Jimmy Connors did so much worst but they are worshipped. She and Venus are versatile in doing things other than tennis and still win. They are still playing while others retired over and over. I remember when they first came on the scene. Many of the announcers criticized them saying that they would not be successful because they did not come up the traditional tennis way. Look at them. They fill the areas.
