GREENWICH, Conn. – Throughout the week, right-wing fishwife Ann Coulter has been dragging out the news cycle surrounding her phony lifetime ban on NBC, using it as a promotional springboard as she hawks her latest book-writing effort, “Guilty: Liberal ‘Victims’ and Their Assault on America.”
Although the network never issued such a ban, it did preempt the termagant, who was scheduled for an appearance on The Today Show on Monday, in favor of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
Coulter hasn’t looked back since, having spent the last several days issuing missives on her Web site and granting interviews to any outlet – credible and otherwise – about her alleged exile at the hands of NBC.

Coulter appeared on "The Today Show" last week to hawk her latest book
Any question of whether or not the politically excitable shrew actually believed she was more newsworthy than the former British prime minister and reigning envoy of the Quartet on the Middle East during a time when the region is gripped in a war between Israel and Hamas or whether she merely recognized a pricelessly cynical self-promotional opportunity was settled today when it was revealed that Coulter is lobbying CBS and ABC to impose their own faux lifetime bans on her.
Sources inside the Coulter camp say Coulter was so pleased with the bump in book sales that followed her brief, unilaterally staged battle with NBC – the network aired a live interview with her Thursday morning – that she instructed her handlers to arrange “lifetime” bans from the other two networks that are part of what Coulter describes as the “mainstream media TV troika.”
Failing that, say the sources, Coulter is prepared to do what it takes to instigate an actual ban from the networks.
However, media experts point out that since her past exploits, which read like a list of symptoms from a fatal case of foot-in-mouth disease, have failed to elicit any lifetime bans, it is unlikely that any future actions by Coulter would be able to do so.
Coulter’s past improprieties include her claim that 9-11 widows who voted for John Kerry were “enjoying their husband’s deaths,” her expressed remorse over domestic terrorist Timothy McVeigh’s failure to target the New York Times building, her labeling of former democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards a “faggot,” and her enthusiastic participation in a baby-seal clubbing contest in Canada.
